Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with expertise in Capital Markets and to take up post trade IT projects for a renowned bank. The role focuses on supporting post-trade systems within the FX IT division, working on both project and maintenance activities.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Must have minimum 7 years of experience in Business Analysis within Capital/Investment Markets IT;
- Must have strong knowledge of Calypso back office systems, preferably versions v14 to v18.
- Must have experience in regulatory reporting such as HRF, NORIA, MMSR;
- Experience on Back Office systems and interfacing systems;
- Hands-on experience liaising between onshore business teams and offshore technical teams;
- Experience with interfacing systems and functional support of development teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams;
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Desired Skill-set
- Familiarity with requirements lifecycle management and Agile methodologies;
- Exposure to Capital Markets Front Office/Back Office systems;
- Proficiency in UNIX, SQL, and containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements from stakeholders;
- Translate business needs into clear user stories and functional specifications for FX and Money Market operations;
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure proper implementation and functional testing;
- Provide subject matter expertise on business processes and system integration points;
- Assess existing solutions and propose improvements or reuse opportunities;
- Contribute to the full SDLC lifecycle including testing, deployment readiness, and post-deployment verification;
- Support regulatory compliance and risk mitigation through robust documentation and analysis;
- Conduct impact assessments on SLA/OLA in production systems for proposed changes;
- Act as a mentor and support resource for new team members and junior analysts;
- Assist with estimation, planning, test case preparation, and system documentation.
