We're Hiring: Sous Chef (Japanese Cuisine / Omakase)

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes consistently.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  • Ensure kitchen hygiene and food safety standards are met.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials.
  • Take charge of kitchen operations when the Head Chef is absent.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of culinary experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong background in Japanese cuisine (Omakase experience preferred).
  • Good leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and during peak hours.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Passion for food, creativity, and teamwork.
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
