We're Hiring: Sous Chef (Japanese Cuisine / Omakase)
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes consistently.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Ensure kitchen hygiene and food safety standards are met.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials.
- Take charge of kitchen operations when the Head Chef is absent.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of culinary experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong background in Japanese cuisine (Omakase experience preferred).
- Good leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Passion for food, creativity, and teamwork.
- Willing to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
