Business Development & Sales
  • Source catalytic converters and other precious-metal scrap from scrapyards, garages, workshops, dealers, and individuals across Singapore and the region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing and purchasing terms directly with business owners and sellers.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts tailored to each customer based on precious metal content, valuation, and requirements.
  • Monitor market trends to stay updated on precious metal pricing, demand, and industry developments.
  • Evaluate purchasing decisions to ensure profitability for all transactions.
  • Track trade transactions to ensure timely delivery of materials and prompt payment collection.
Operational Support
  • Visit scrapyards, automotive workshops, garages, and suppliers regularly to inspect goods and close purchases.
  • Assist the driver in loading catalytic converters or scrap materials into the company vehicle when required.
  • Ensure materials are safely transported back to the production facility.
  • Document all purchases accurately and prepare required reports.
Business Performance & Risk Management
  • Assess business performance to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend operational enhancements to reduce risks and improve efficiency.
Requirements
  • Experience in sales, trading, business development, procurement, or a related field (experience in scrap metal, automotive, or recycling is an advantage).
  • Strong numerical ability; able to perform quick calculations and assess profitability accurately.
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented, and responsible.
  • Comfortable working in scrapyards, workshops, and other industrial environments.
  • Physically fit and willing to participate in hands-on tasks including loading/unloading materials.
  • Strong negotiation skills and confident in communicating with business owners.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic documentation.
  • Possession of a valid driving license is a bonus
