Our client, a leading maritime MNC specialising in transportation services, seeks a Global HR Leader to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing enterprise-level workforce planning and HR initiatives.

Reporting to the Global Director, Human Capital, this role will drive workforce strategy, oversee performance, reward, and talent domains, and guide the development of a newly established HR team.

This is a strategic yet hands-on role that combines foresight, structure, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be adept at translating workforce insights into actionable HR strategies, coaching team members, and building scalable HR processes to support the company's global growth.

【 Responsibilities 】

Workforce Planning & Strategy

- Forecast workforce demand based on enterprise business priorities.

- Assess current workforce supply, identify gaps across functions, geographies, and roles.

- Develop and apply workforce planning models to evaluate future scenarios.

- Segment critical roles to guide strategic resourcing and succession planning.

- Monitor global labour market trends to anticipate risks and opportunities.

HR Strategy & Collaboration

- Translate workforce insights into performance, reward, and talent priorities.

- Partner with HR specialists to deliver integrated and consistent solutions.

- Design and implement foundational HR processes that enable scalability.

- Engage senior leadership to align workforce strategy with business goals.

- Collaborate with external consultants on specialised projects while ensuring internal capability building and knowledge transfer.

- Identify areas for functional enhancement as the HR team evolves.

Team Leadership & Capability Development

- Lead and develop a global HR team of specialists and associates.

- Define team priorities, oversee delivery, and ensure high-quality outcomes.

- Provide coaching and mentorship to strengthen expertise across HR domains.

- Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Drive adoption of best practices across regions and functions.

【 Requirements & Preferences 】

(Must)

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field

- At least 8 years of strong experience in global/regional HR strategic workforce planning, talent modelling, and labour market analysis

- Broad understanding of performance management, reward, and talent frameworks, ability to connect workforce needs with business direction and operational plans

- Experience managing a team of 2-3 or more, or leading cross-domain HR initiatives

- Regional exposure, ability to effectively communicate with different stakeholders across regions and levels

- Willing to travel when required (2-4 times a year) and work across time zones occasionally

- Strong English is required to liaise with global offices and subsidiaries across Asia, Europe, US, Middle East, and Africa

(Advantageous)

- Master's Degree or professional certification in workforce planning, HR strategy, or related areas will be advantageous

- Industry background in maritime or sectors with operational complexity, regulatory demands, or distributed global workforces preferred.
