Responsibilities

  • Oversee vessel utilization and manage inventory across designated locations.
  • Support the Trade Manager in exploring new trade lanes by gathering market intelligence for P&L analysis.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operations in China, Korea, and Southeast Asia.
  • Monitor agency performance to ensure alignment with principal requirements.
  • Conduct strategic planning to enhance trade performance, focusing on revenue growth and volume expansion.
  • Negotiate rates with ocean carriers and feeder operators to secure competitive slot costs, leveraging market trends and volume-based agreements for cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide regular performance reports on agencies and locations to management.
  • Collaborate with shipping lines to secure open slot allocations.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • At least 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in the liner shipping industry
  • Prior experience from the liner shipping or NVOCC industry will be advantageous
