We are representing an Asian Investment Manager with a substantial portfolio of commercial assets globally.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to be responsible for our client's Real Estate overall business, with the objective to develop a sustainable and scalable real estate business overseeing both investment and asset management functions.

The role would include:

  1. Defining the real estate private equity investment strategy, including target markets, asset classes, and investment structures.
  2. Leading deal sourcing, evaluation, underwriting, due diligence, structuring, and execution of real estate investments.
  3. Driving asset value enhancement through active management, repositioning, leasing, redevelopment, or operational improvements.
  4. Assessing investment risk and ensuring compliance with internal risk management frameworks and investment policies.
  5. Developing and presenting investment papers, market outlooks, and exit strategies.
  6. Leading and mentoring a team of real estate investment professionals across various seniority levels.
  7. Reporting regularly to the Head of Investment and investment committee on portfolio performance, market conditions, and investment outlook.

Requirements

  1. Degree in Real Estate, Building, Marketing, Business, Finance, or equivalent. A master's degree in these disciplines will be an advantage.
  2. At least 15 years of experience in real estate, including deal sourcing, acquisition, deal execution, asset management, marketing & leasing, banking & finance, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position. Experience in real estate private equity and familiarity with the UK, Australia, and Singapore markets will be an advantage.
  3. Thorough knowledge of real estate cycles, deal structuring, corporate structuring, tax, and legal frameworks.
  4. Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with legal frameworks and corporate structuring.
  5. Excellent leadership and interpersonal qualities, with high ethical and professional standards.
