**Responsibilities**:
We are seeking a highly driven, independent individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment. You will be part of the Corporate Communications department’s external and media relations unit and are responsible for developing and implementing media strategies to build the hospital’s brand, profile key services and educate the public on various health promoting initiatives. You are expected to work closely with stakeholders to coordinate crisis communications and maintain robust round-the-clock mainstream and social media monitoring processes. You will help to build a strong online presence by producing content for social media platforms and maintaining engagement processes online. You will also support mass emergency preparedness execises and business continuity plans for the department. Remuneration is commensurate with experience.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor Degree in any discipline, preferably in Communications or Journalism.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in media and crisis communications work in a mid-to-large sized organisation
- Good networks with key local media institutions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and story-telling abilities
- Excellent people relations skills and ability to engage senior management
- Ability to work under stress, tight timelines and the occasional odd hours
- Ability to produce organic content, e.g videos, infographics, especially for social media will be added advantage.
