**About the Job**

You will discharge the duties and responsibilities of the office consistent with the principles, standards accordance to the Orders and Regulations of The Salvation Army. You will conduct the affairs of the office responsibly and efficiently and motivate staff to do likewise.

You will conduct all activities of the office with a view to accomplishing the mission of The Salvation Army as described in its mission statement.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Contribute to and assist with the development and implementation of territorial strategies for spiritual growth.
- Communicate and facilitate matters relating to spiritual life in the territory as required.
- Promote spiritual life development training/events for officers, soldiers and junior soldiers. These can be specific spiritual life courses or in partnership with other ministries (Adult and family, Children and youth, music etc.).
- Assure territorial compliance with all Orders & Regulations/Operating Policies related to Spiritual Life Development matters.
- Prepare, monitor and manage the office budget.
- Prepare a projection in brief, prior to the beginning of the work year, indicating the goals or objectives proposed for the ensuing year. These goals may include needs regarding personnel, programs and services, administrative practices, equipment, etc. as they may relate to the functions of the office. Following the end of year, report on the results.
- Advise the Chief Secretary on any matters of importance relative to Spiritual Life Development, including feedback from the field concerning impact measurements.
- Maintain regular communication with regional leaders with respect to Spiritual Life Development needs and matters.
- Encourage the exploration of new models for Spiritual Life Development appropriate to the needs and potentials of the communities served, keeping in focus the particular needs of communities, the capacity of personnel, and potential financial resources.
- Work closely with Territorial Cabinet in activities designed to promote the territorial strategic vision and other initiatives set forth by Territorial leadership.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum Degree

**Job Requirements**
- Minimum of 15 years of working experience in Spiritual Life Development
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with members
- Organisational skills
- Analytical ability
- Problem solving skills
