Singapore Amazon Asia-Pacific Holdings Full time

5+ years of experience in banking, payments and/or e-commerce companies within the Central Policy team in the UK and/or the EU;
- Deep knowledge of APAC regulations, both within the Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime areas;
- Compliance and Risk experience, including knowledge of governance frameworks;
- Proven experience in drafting Global Policies while advising on the creation of regional addendums;
- Advise, supervising, interpreting and communicating complex Regulations to a diverse audience;
- Demonstrable experience of influencing stakeholders and senior stakeholders;
- Proven strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Proven experience in leading or supervising others to deliver multiple projects and/or reports on time and at the highest standards;

Amazon is seeking a pragmatic, innovative, and driven financial services compliance professional to serve as the APAC Manager for our newly formed Global Standards function. In this role you will develop Global policies that balance Regulatory Compliance & Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions compliance with business enablement to support Amazon’s payments programs and services.

The Global Standards Manager role is based within Global Standards team in the Risk and Compliance services organization. In this role, the Global Standards Manager will execute the rollout of the Global Standards framework across the EMEA region, while coordinating with the APAC and NA counterparts to ensure alignment across all regions.

Key job responsibilities
They will ensure that in-scope RCS Policies and Standards are maintained and embedded in accordance with the our Global Standards framework. This applies centrally and in countries as well;
Support that in-scope Policies and Standards are in accordance with the Regulatory requirements and that the gap analysis is refreshed regularly;
Work closely with the Regional Compliance offices, Payments Risk, Assurance, Governance and AML Program teams to ensure that policy related controls are embedded in the processes and are being assured through the Global Standards framework;
Work with other Risk Groups to identify inter-connected policies to cross reference and socialise with the respective policy owners. Similarly, be the contact person for other policy reviews;
Support dispensation process to challenge, obtain approval and record as per the Global Framework guidelines.
- Past experience in working in a similar role;
- Prior knowledge in Global Policy Frameworks, AML/CTF regulations, PSD2, Outsourcing, Safeguarding and Consumer Protection;
- Prior Knowledge or experience of drafting and implementing Global Policies in group entities;
- Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive Policy plans which consistently deliver desired results and are aligned with approved risk appetites;
- A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes.
