Role overview
The Business Accelerator Team (BAT) is a core component of the broader sales organization working on the Technology, Communications and Gaming (TCG) segments.
This team will work with coverage partners on new client acquisition, pursue incremental wallet via non-traditional buying centers, and partner with solution sales teams on strategic and complex deals. Subject matter expertise for eCommerce will also reside within this team.
The head of BAT will lead a team that drives the growth of our business with clients in the TCG sectors, and also drive growth in the eCommerce space, on a horizontal basis, across client segments. This will require the individual to think creatively about new client acquisition, as well as new opportunity identification with existing clients.
Key/Selected Responsibilities
- Work with coverage partners to prioritize target segments and customers in the portfolio
- Lead and grow a team of senior sales people that work on
- Acquiring new clients, as well as new flows from existing clients
- Replicating solutions and learnings at scale, with a focus on fee opportunities
- Prospecting and identification of non-traditional buying centers
- Engage senior leadership as appropriate to progress opportunities
- Execute on opportunities with proposals, RFP responses, pricing & implementation plans
- Participate in deal reviews and obtain approvals as required
- Ensure deal ramp and ongoing relationship with client to continue prospecting for additional opportunities
- Actively share with Product Management new developments within the market and competitive landscape, while supporting new product development
- Work on key sale initiatives, in particular new product launches, to drive new wins
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise to Proposals Unit to refine proposal quality
- Continuously grow product knowledge by participating in training and industry initiatives to keep abreast of developments and client influences
- Help build a pipeline working with product, sales, coverage, implementations, data analytics and other groups within the bank.
Experience and Competencies required
- 10 - 15 years' experience in Sales, Product management, or other relevant areas with business development experience
- Knowledge and awareness of recent digitization trends is preferred
- Expertise in Transaction Banking Products, including the broad spectrum of Cash Management, Liquidity Management and Trade Finance solutions.
- The individual should have a financial sales background, preferably within transaction services.
- Forward looking strategic thinker with good judgment and a practical understanding of client / sales dynamics
- Creative, innovative, high energy with strong initiative
- Strong execution skills: thorough follow-through & attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills; excellent interpersonal skills
- Committed, trusted team player
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Mandarin / Korean would be helpful, but is not necessary
