DESIGNATION : Assistant Manager / Manager, SMU Pathfinders Programme, ODOS
RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for Office of Dean of Students (ODOS).
- Curate SMU Pathfinders Programme:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to determine the training needs of student leaders and general undergraduate population, ensuring alignment of learning objectives to the SMU Graduate Learning Outcomes.
- Assist in the design and delivery of training programmes, including the effective marketing of programmes.
- Source for appropriate internal and external training platforms (e.g. courses, forums, conferences) to meet the training needs of students.
- Schedule and publicise opportunities to students and related administrative offices.
- Handle operational details as well as administrative and logístical matters (invitations, venue booking and set-up, etc) for the programme.
- Collect feedback and continually review programme offerings for subsequent cohorts.
- Tracking Student Participation and Outcomes:
- Monitor and track student participation.
- Collect feedback on student learning and satisfaction levels.
- Work with other Co-Curriculum Development colleagues to assess effectiveness of programmes in achieving learning outcomes.
- Update participation and learning records of student participants.
- Budget and Reporting:
- Manage the funds for the programme and account for expenditure, ensuring prudence and adhering to proper guidelines and processes for good governance.
- Provide reports of programme outcomes to demonstrate good stewardship and account to donor when required.
- Contribute to the Design and Delivery of Experiences related to Co-Curricular Learning
- Support the Co-Curricular Development team’s functions (e.g. development of co-curriculum modules, organizing symposiums) as assigned.
- Coordinate the scheduling for the THRIVE Workshop series and consolidate programme outcomes for reporting.
- Facilitate the delivery of the SMU Graduate Learning Outcomes (GLOs) through the programmes/activities/events organised at the department level.
- Contribute relevant expertise and experience in fulfilment of the team’s responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in any discipline, with at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in the education sector or student development programmes at the tertiary level would be advantageous.
- Good administration and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
- Able to write well and put together short write-ups for programmes and events.
- Able to work with others and co-ordinate efforts in delivering the SMU Pathfinders programme and its usefulness across platforms.
- Able to work synergistically, collaboratively as well as independently.
- Knowledge and experience in project and event organization/management.
- Familiarity and experience with IT, digital and media solutions for marketing, records, reports, and communication.
- Knowledge of and experience in student leadership development programmes and initiatives or pedagogical styles suited for undergraduate students is highly advantageous.
- Experience in curriculum design and/or framing and measuring learning outcomes, or relevant working experience in classroom and/or out-of-classroom learning, L&D or educational assessment would be advantageous.
