Associate Director, Life

We are seeking a Life & Health insurance actuary with product development experience to drive our growing proposition around product development. The role will be based in Singapore within our Life & Health Reinsurance team with an Asia remit.

Our team is focused on empowering our insurance clients regarding their risk management, business growth and capital needs, with reinsurance being the preeminent tool to achieve their objectives. We bring an unparalleled ability to leverage data and partnerships across the region.

The key objective of this role is to take ownership of health and CI product development initiatives for our clients in Southeast Asia from R&D and feasibility study through to partnering with clients and reinsurers to implement new product initiatives.

**What the day will look like**
- Partner with clients on product development initiatives from scoping through to delivery
- Perform analysis required to support product development/pricing
- Drive product R&D initiatives and market feasibility assessment for new product ideas
- Support in articulating the risks and the economics of a transaction to cedants and reinsurers
- Contribute to the knowledge and intellectual property of the Life and Accident & Health reinsurance practice group locally and globally
- Support in the Life & Health reinsurance business development across various territories within Asia

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Actuarial or similar
- Qualified or nearly qualified actuary
- 5 - 8 years experience in life re/insurance
- Background in product development, pricing and/or reinsurance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of SEA life insurance product trends
- Self-motivated, holds oneself accountable and takes ownership for project delivery
- Strong numerical proficiency
- Eagerness to learn through facing and overcoming new challenges
