DESIGNATION : Associate Director / Senior Associate Director, Office of Overseas Centre

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the business and operational strategies, developing and implementing action plans, policies and ensuring an adequate system of oversight for Overseas Centres
- Objective and inquisitive, with a knowledge of the activities and risks associated with Overseas Centres to ensure effective governance and to help the Director compile regular reporting to the University’s senior management on Overseas Centre’s financial and operational performances
- Management report will include updates, analysis, recommendations, project expectations, roadmaps, key deliverables and quantifiable goals
- Represent the Office of Overseas Centres (OOC), together or in lieu of the Director in high-level meetings, events and official engagements
- Coordinate business and programme development in professional continuing education, including fore-sighting new overseas partnership opportunities with industry and government agencies to help grow the University’s external revenue wings
- Work in partnership with the various internal stakeholders to provide business and market intelligence and contribute to the University’s internationalisation strategy, and to set and help strategic initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s degree preferred
- Track record in managing businesses and operations in Asia, preferably in the Southeast Asia region
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience required
- Exhibit successful track record in strategic planning and its execution
- Experienced in cross-cultural management and working within a matrixed organisation
- Must be fluent in English; being able to speak a Southeast Asian language will be an advantage
- Consultative and accessible leadership style, outstanding written and oral communications skills
- Ability to gain credibility and trust with multiple layers of complex organisations from the University to industry, governments and vice-versa
- Ability to interact in a professional and positive manner with all levels of staff
- Able to stimulate and develop new project ideas in partnership with other relevant Directors
- Excellent understanding of how to communicate with different audiences within a University context, from Academics, Administrators and Students
