Singapore MHA - Singapore Police Force (SPF) Full time

**What the role is**
- As a Community Partnership Officer (Workplace Engagement), you will be developing, managing or reviewing CPD’s workplace-related community engagement strategies, policies, plans and projects to ensure effectiveness and relevance. This will include the drafting and implementation of relevant policies, standard operating procedures and systems, initiating and managing projects, and engagement of key strategic stakeholders/partners. You will also maintain oversight of frontline police units’ workplace-related community engagement activities through the tracking of performance indicators and provide guidance on issues related to workplace-related community engagement to ensure that the desired outcomes are achieved. Through your efforts, SPF aims to develop an empowered workforce who can do their part for security and crime prevention through ramping up their level of preparedness.

**What you will be working on**
- You will focus on building SPF’s workplace-related community engagement capabilities and driving outreach efforts by formulating and executing specific action plans to engage stakeholders from the business communities and industries. Some of the key areas of responsibility include:

- Periodic review of CPD’s workplace-related community engagement strategies, policies and plans to better align with changing operating environments and circumstances;
- Leveraging existing engagement networks and collaborate with other Ministries/Agencies to tap on their networks for engagement with business communities and industries;
- Establishing network with key private sector associations and/or councils to reach out to its members systematically through platforms such as industry Safety and Security Watch Groups (i-SSWG) and large-scale Community Engagement (CE) events;
- Ensuring that the workplaces are well-prepared to respond in times of crisis through communications via the SSWG (Safety and Security Watch Groups) platforms, training and security audits;
- Close monitoring of workplace engagement efforts through periodic review and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and providing guidance to frontline units on issues related to workplace engagement; and
- Ensuring the successful organisation of CPD’s networking events and community partnership award ceremonies to show appreciation to SPF’s community stakeholders for their strong and continued support.
- Officer is also expected to take up secondary appointments and other ad-hoc tasks as directed by management.

**What we are looking for**
- Background in any discipline and has strong writing and presentation skills
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience is preferred; but fresh graduates may be considered if they possess the right attributes; and
- Experience in stakeholder management and engagement in similar capacities is advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure with tight timelines;
- Ability to establish strong relationships within the SPF as well as other agencies and key industry players;
- Good negotiation, written communication and verbal presentation skills;
- Meticulous planning skills, and the ability to analyse issues with clarity and present balanced, strong arguments; and
- Good analytical and writing skills

About CPD

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. As the staff authority for SPF’s community engagement strategies, policies and programmes, the Community Partnership Department (CPD) plays a lead role at the Police Headquarters-level in spearheading and coordinating SPF’s overarching community engagement efforts across stakeholders from different population segments. One of the key segments are those from the business communities and industries (“workplace”).
