**Job Purpose
Community partners and Volunteers contribute to community development and social inclusion by committing time, skills and effort.

With strategic management and mobilisation of volunteer resources, volunteers can help build more inclusive communities, and also augment the work of SUN-DAC staff, thus enhancing service delivery and achieving the vision and mission of SUN-DAC. Outreach and volunteer Executives play a critical role in enhancing SUN-DAC’s volunteer-readiness to retain and attract committed volunteers.

**Key Responsibilities**

You will:

- Conduct recruitment, orientation, training, retention, and recognition plan for individual and group volunteers, and for all volunteers to feel valued
- Develop the volunteer strategy in line with the SUN-DAC’s vision and mission
- Project the SUN-DAC’s requirements for volunteers and develop the volunteer
- recruitment, appreciation and retention strategy
- Evaluate, enhance and implement volunteer management policies and
- processes (e.g. volunteer training, development, recognition, engagement)
- Review and do job redesign for volunteers to augment staff
- Develop a volunteer friendly culture within the centres by engaging, supporting and
- training staff whom volunteers will be working with
- Source, develop and sustain collaborations with other agencies, community
- stakeholders, corporate partners, schools and government agencies
- Identify emerging approaches in volunteer management and evaluate
- volunteerism trends and impact which will value add to the volunteer
- engagement strategies and approaches
- Propose and implement creative volunteer activities
- Conduct public awareness talks and workshops in schools and corporates
- Be familiar with the utilization of the volunteer management system and to generate relevant reports for the management
- Be responsible in the management, deployment and the evaluation of the volunteers
- Maintain volunteer database, records and attendance in the Volunteer Management System
- Produce e-newsletters, EDMs and content for social media for publicity and stakeholders’ engagement

**Requirements ( **Skills and Competencies):

- Strong initiative, leadership, analytical, problem solving and planning skills
- Good interpersonal and people management skills to work with people from diverse background (i.e. volunteers and colleagues)
- Good collaborative and stakeholder management skills to work across disciplines and sectors (i.e. community stakeholders, corporate partners, government agencies)
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team or work independently
- Ability to design basic publicity materials

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma/ Degree with experience in community work, stakeholder management, resource management and/or project management
- Individuals looking for a career switch are welcomed
- Experience with social service or volunteer management is an advantage
