**About the Role**
As a key member of FMC’s commercial organization in APAC, you will be leading strategy and execution of the digital ecosystem for APAC to establish a digitally enabled go-to-market to get close to farmers and connect multiple players across the chain, provide differentiated offers and services. This is key initiative of APAC’s growth plan - ‘Blue Sky’.
More specifically, your responsibilities include:
- Develop a clear plan from pilots to monetization models to revenue generation. Digital initiatives need to result in business impact with revenue generation as a stand-alone operation or in conjunction with the mainstream business.
- Lead partnerships and alliances with technology providers, food chain companies, agricultural service/input providers, financial institutions to establish the ecosystem.
- Lead participation in ventures and M&A efforts to acquire capabilities and assets as relevant
- Assess participation in e-commerce channels and help develop ecommerce GTM routes in relevant countries
- Drive initiatives across APAC for digital and services models - eg drones, mechanization services and related
- Align digital initiatives with existing physical offers and GTM to provide compelling ‘phygital’ offers to growers and establish competitive advantage for FMC in this space
- Play a key role in Diamides post-patent strategy through digital offers and the digital ecosystem
**About You**
The key to success in this position is a strong drive for results and the ability to drive change in targeted businesses in APAC.
As you will be interacting with a broad network of stakeholders, it is important that you possess strong people and communication skills; and are able to lead and influence cross-functional teams and independent work groups across geographies.
We also expect that you have:
- Tertiary qualifications in business management; MBA preferred
- Experience in developing digital ventures and/or experience in incubating or developing digital businesses in established companies reaching meaningful scale.
- Commercial roles (at least 5-10 years) in managing digital platforms, e-commerce, digitally driven business. In-depth knowledge of digital customer engagement and customer experience, developing digitally enabled value propositions.
- Experience in managing digital partnerships, alliances and business development
- Experience with working with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of agriculture, food and related industries is an added advantage but not essential to have.
