Singapore MHA - Singapore Police Force (SPF) Full time

**What the role is**
- The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime.
The Manpower Branch oversees the HR processes for officers in the Central Division.
The Manpower Officer assists Head Manpower in implementing various HR initiatives and oversees processing tasks in Manpower Branch.
You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme.

**What you will be working on**
- The jobholder’s key accountabilities are:
a. Career Development
- To assist the Head Manpower in maintaining an appropriate manning level via recruitment of suitable officers into the various schemes of services, i.e., SOs, POs, MXs, TSOs, MSOs, to fill vacancies resulted from resignation, retirement, posting and transfer.
- To assist the Head Manpower to coordinate the Manpower Development Board meeting to discuss on manpower issues and posting matters where officers are effectively posted within the unit for their career development.
- To assist in managing posting cycles through checking officers’ profiles to ensure that they meet guidelines and to coordinate suitability assessments for the unit.
- Identify and recommend appropriate training and development programme for officers’ career development.
- Provide professional advice to officers on matters pertaining to career development, posting, career switch, retirement and re-employment.
- To facilitate in the ranking sessions for POs and MSOs to ensure that all ranking data are prepared and documented properly.

b. Management of Personnel Administration
- Close monitoring and prompt processing of staff confirmation, promotion, retirement and re-employment.
- To assist the Head Manpower in supervising the PNSFs in the administrative processing of posting, transfer, resignation, retirement, extension of service, re-employment matters.
- To ensure that manpower records are maintained properly and accurately, and submissions of returns are promptly submitted to required stakeholders like MPD, A&F Dept, and Vital.

- REQUIREMENTS
- Fields of studies preferably HR
- Preferably familiar with the relevant DSOs, IMs and other SOPS or guidelines on HR matters
- Positive, responsible, resourceful, self-driven, keen to learn new things
- Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team
- Ability to communicate and write well
