General Manager, Sea

As the General Manager of Outbrain South East Asia, you will be accountable for delivering on regional revenue goals by effectively managing go to market plans & establishing new business opportunities in the region.
This is a hands-on player/coach role with time spent managing a small team of Sales Managers and driving your own book of new business. while working with key internal stakeholders to deliver and support long-term regional success. Expected results are attainment of revenue, profitability, and forecast accuracy goals established with APAC MD and senior management.
You are a master relationship builder, sales leader, and creative problem solver. You exhibit high emotional intelligence and professionalism at all times, and are a true consultative business partner with your clients. You are versed in the agency landscape in your territory, with key relationships already established.
**Responsibilities**:
- Own, meet and exceed the regional revenue targets.
- Management of SEA sales team (made up of Sales and Customer Success team based in Singapore)
- Create and implement sales plans and tools that increase performance by the sales staff
- Manage SEA sales' pipeline and forecasts accurately, setting budgets, revenue goals and MBOs for the sales team both quarterly and annually.
- Work with the Outbrain APAC MD and leadership team on strategy and;
- Develop relationships with key media and marketing executives in SEA - key client relationships, network, personal brand presence
- Take lead in responding to RFP’s or new business development, including qualification & win strategy
- Support the sales team leads to negotiate, close and establish agency agreements with key agency groups as well as with regional resellers
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
- Align Amplify and Engage strategies and teams work; collaborate and sync the teams to create a stronger Outbrain position and results.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including HR, Engage, product, finance, legal, marketing, BI, operation and International management.
- Represent the organisation with industry organisations, in the press, and with other Outbrain teams
- Provide strong mentoring and coaching to direct reports and sales representatives (Develop career plans for the team members)
To be successful, you will have:
- University degree or equivalent in Business Administration/Finance/Communication etc.
- Management experience of 3 years+ of a team of 5+
- Sales experience of 10 years+
- Sales experience of 5 years+ in the digital advertising industry
- Experience with managing remote team members.
- Proven communication, presentation and relationship skills
- Ability to deliver highest standards of customer service
- Ability to recruit staff and monitor performance.
- Leading a team of highly motivated professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analysis and synthesis capacities
- Knowledge and experience of managing sales pipeline through CRM
- Highly motivated to participate in the Outbrain adventure
- Fluent English
