**Sales Manager
**Responsibilities**:
The Sales Manager is responsible for business and commercial activities in Singapore and/or assigned territories and in assigned projects for the company’s OMPs (Own Manufactured Products), Trading Products, Tolling and Blending Products, and Engineering Services.
Key responsibilities include:
- **Business Management**:Accountable for existing and new business activities for domestic market and/or assigned territories which includes attending to customers’ communications on pricing, contract negotiations, tender submissions, technical support and coordination of major issues.
- **Business Results**:Accountable for sales, profitability and growth and ensures the company’s working capital objectives are met partnering with Finance Department.
- **Customer Management**:Responsible for supporting and helping customers to be successful in achieving their operational, quality and productivity goals. He/She optimizes the company’s internal processes to provide reliable and differentiating services to customers.
- **Business Development**:Drive and realize new business plan, including the development of new pipelines of potential key accounts for the company’s long-term growth and profitability.
- **Key Account Management**:Develop and strengthen good working relationship with accounts and business partners at all levels. He/She is accountable for active management of relationship with Key Accounts for long-term profitable and sustainable growth.
- **Distribution Management**:For Tier C customers to be handled by a third party, until key partner(s) are identified and a permanent business model formulated, Sales Manager mentors and supports the Senior Commercial Specialist (SCS) on Tier C customers.
- **Business Model and Strategy**:in conjunction with changing market landscape, Sales Manager supports the review of the company’s business model. He/She is accountable for successful development and implementation of go-to-market strategies.
- **Assignments**:Responsible for commercial activities and new assignments as assigned by the immediate Manager, Sales & Marketing Director from time-to-time.
- **Environment, Health and Safety (‘EHS’), and Enterprise Risk Management (’ERM’)**:Accountable for compliance within his/her scope of work and/or influence.
- **New Products Introduction**:Accountable for gathering of essential and accurate inputs of market demands that leads to the roll-out of new products or creative solutions. He/She must first ensure that they satisfy the potential demand and profit criteria set for new products creation.
- **Business Reports**:Responsible for timely reporting of business performance, updates and projects.
- **Forecast**:Ensure that customers forecast are conveyed to operations, working with Logistics Department.
- **Market Intelligence**:Gather and report updated market information with internal stakeholders in a timely manner; This shall include but not limited to development of customer portfolio, competition identifications, new business opportunities and development of market landscape.
**Requirements**:
- Master/Bachelor Degree in Science, Chemistry, Chemical, Environmental or Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Sales and Marketing on chemical, chemical distribution or petrochemical sector; or Diploma with at least 10 years of experience in relevant field
- Preferably to have worked in the following industries:
- Water treatment & power utilities and companies
- Semiconductor, water fab manufacturing plants
- Chemicals and petrochemicals manufacturing plants
- Food and pharmaceuticals manufacturing plants
- Marine sectors
