Airfreight Executive

**Our client is a global logistics service provider MNC who manages contract logistics, freight logistics, port logistics and public transport. They are currently seeking for Customer Solutions (Freight) to support their operation.**

**SUMMARY**

This position will need to do coordination for sea freight operations, as well as handling different types of shipments: FCL, LCL, Consol, etc. Furthermore, this position will need to assist customers with shipping requirements in terms of import/export/ transit formalities.

**JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)**

**Customer’s Contact Point and Escalation**
- Ensuring no mistakes and/or misunderstanding during verification of HB/L before releasing cargo under different types of bill of ladings
- Strict maintenance of on-time KPI
- Ability to proactively explain procedures to customers in case of questions Quick solution finding in case of escalations
- Adherence of KPIs for customs and pre/on-carriage procedures
- Double-checking the quotation validity before handling the shipment and coordinating with respective Sales/ Sales Coordinator if rate extension is needed.
- Being in charge of cross-trade shipment, ensuring smooth communication, instructions and billings among Origin office, Destination office and customer.

**Liner Coordination and Escalation**
- Coordination and escalation with shipping lines regarding sailing schedules, booking, space issues, etc.
- Negotiation with Liner/ Co-loader for the possibilities of extra requirements from Shipper (cut-off extension, schedule modification, late gate-in, etc.)
- Coordination with local pricing teams for the final choice of Liner/ Co-loader under short time frames.

**High-Quality Customer Service**
- Assisting customer during booking stage.
- Monitoring and completing performance/ KPIs reports upon to customers’ requirements of own-controlled business.
- Being contact points between customers and other sub-contractors during shipment handlings.
- Double checking the quotation validity before handling the shipment and coordinating with respective Sales/ Sales Coordinator if rate extension is needed.
- Updating shipment status in details upon to customers’ requirements.
- Being in charge of cross-trade shipment, ensuring smooth communication, instructions and billings among Origin office, Destination office and customer.
- Providing and monitoring high quality service from Origin office to Destination office.

**KPI Adherence in Operational System**
- Constant monitoring while ensuring the proper setting of milestones/ status code under 100% Data Quality. Meeting of timeframe KPIs for adding new contacts in operational system.
- Finance-relating document creation in operational system, such as Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ‘In time’ job closing in operational system.

**Documentation Management**
- Strict meeting of in-time receipt of correct and sufficient documents Archive of documentation into job file before vessel arrival
- Avoiding of postponed shipments due to lack of documents
- Meeting of timeframe KPIs for documentation collection, completion, and submission
- Monitor payment to the Creditors and late payment received from Debtors without notification and clear reasons from Accounting Dept. Check and evaluate invoices in terms of correctness.
- Managing relevant documentation for filing, e.g. different types of Bill of Lading and ensuring mandatory documentation in respective files.
- Ensure smooth correlation with interrelating departments, such as trucking, customs brokerage, etc.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Excellent communication skills in English in both verbal and written.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in in Logistics/ Transport Management/ Supply Chain or equivalent.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES**
- Knowledge of local and international freight services and customs policies. Experience in Pricing and Procurement related topics.
- Familiar with industry standard programs and able to operate standard systems relevant to the position. High level of capability, customer service mindset and data analytical approach.
- Professional working attitude.
- Highly motivated to learn new processes, receive feedback and work independently. Minimal supervision to complete tasks.
- Highly trainable and approachable.
