**KING GEORGE’S AVENUE SENIORS ACTIVITY CENTRE**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Position**:Programme Officer

**Report to**:Programme Executive and Centre Manager

**Responsibility**:To assist in the daily operations and upkeep of the Active Ageing Centre

**Qualifications**:Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or higher qualifications.

**Relevant Working Experience**:min. 1 year

**Key Duties**

**Programme**
- Conduct assessments for seniors using Community Screening Tools.
- Provide information and referrals to seniors for services provided by centre or other service providers.
- Assist Programme Executive or Centre Manager in coordinating of programmes, services and activities for seniors.
- Assist in maintaining existing membership and to attract new seniors within service boundary.
- Promote centre’s existence in the community.

**Alert Alarm System (AAS)**
- Manage the AAS and render immediate assistance to calls activated during office hours.
- Maintain proper records of AAS.

**Volunteer Development**
- Assist and support in coordinating volunteer programmes/activities.
- Mobilise and co-ordinate community volunteer efforts.

**Administrative Duties**
- Man staff counter, handle any walk-in or telephone enquiry.
- Compiling Monthly Attendance list, Activities List and Centre’s reports.
- Provide clerical and administrative support.
- Assist in preparation of MC Meeting reports and presentation slides.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Programme Executive or Centre Manager.

**Working Hours**

Mondays to Fridays 8.45am to 5.30pm
