**Role Description - Channel Development Manager - Middleby Coffee Solutions Group (MCSG) and Marco - (APAC) (Coffee & Foodservice)**
**Reports to**: Aaron Hennessy(Marco) & Luciano Delpozzo (MCSG)
**Location**: Based in Region
**Employment Basis**: Full-time
**Division of Time**: 50% Marco / 50% MCSG
**Area of responsibility: APAC (Excluding China)**
**Position Summary**
The Channel Development Manager will focus on driving sales, channel development, and strategic growth within the APAC region, specifically within the specialty coffee segment. This dual-role position requires close collaboration with both Marco Beverage Systems and MCSG, supporting distributors, engaging directly with roasters and technicians, and identifying chain opportunities in emerging coffee markets. The role also serves as a local beverage leader and technical resource, delivering brewing expertise, training and first-line technical support. While the initial focus will be on coffee, the scope may expand to foodservice and other channels over time.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Channel Sales & Market Engagement**
- Build and expand sales opportunities across the APAC coffee channel (first 6 months)
- Build network within the Middleby WW sales team in APAC to build sales in foodservice channel
- Engage directly with specialty coffee roasters, technicians, and distributors to strengthen brand presence and support growth.
- Actively perform product demonstrations in the field. (All Brands)
- Work in-market to support distributors with sell-out strategies, campaigns, and promotional efforts.
- Provide on-site support at key distributor and roaster events, exhibitions, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to adapt promotional materials and campaigns to regional trends.
- Maintain high-touch relationships with strategic accounts and support chain development initiatives.
**Goals (First 12 Months)Sales Growth**
- Drive a minimum 20% year-on-year growth in revenue across key APAC markets. (All excluding China
**Distributor Engagement**
- Conduct quarterly reviews with top 10 APAC coffee distributors. (for both companies)
- Deliver in-market training and demos in at least 8 countries.
**Coffee Community Development**
- Maintain & improve relationships with roasters and technicians.
- Participate in at least 3 regional coffee events.
**Strategic Chain Opportunities**
- Identify and open 3 new chain account leads in specialty coffee or café segments.
- Support tender processes with customized proposals.
**Brand Development**
- Increase visibility of M/MCSG coffee solutions across APAC.
- Ensure M/MCSG brands appears in at least 10x distributor marketing assets.
**Reporting**
- Sales Reporting
- Monthly sales updates to management - via a set agenda and data set
- Management of opportunities via Hubspot as a part of the monthly meeting (M)
- Market and competition feedback as and when required
**Additional Requirements**
- Strong working knowledge of the specialty coffee industry, with technical familiarity of equipment and preparation standards (espresso, filter, milk systems, grinders).
- Demonstrated ability to interact credibly with distributors, technicians, baristas, and roasters in technical, operational, and commercial contexts.
- Experience delivering hands-on demos and technical walkthroughs to specialty coffee professionals.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with confidence representing the brand across varied cultural and market environments.
