We are assisting a number of clients in-search for an IT Support Engineer for an end-user client, Maritime / Vessel Management, Government Agency Industry.(Note: This position will be assigned to 1 client only)
Generally, this position will serve as an inhouse IT Support Professional - providing technical assistance relating to end-user queries, technology infrastructure, communication systems, hardware and software issues.
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Provide technical service assistance as directed and provided thru a helpdesk ticketing system.
- Will handle first line resolutions on PC Laptops and Desktops - hardware, software issues as well as associated peripherals such as communication / mobile devices, scanners, network infrastructures and devices.
- Will maintain an SLA standard and procedures as provided by the IT Team and Team Leader.
- The role will also be involved in computer asset management and inventory checking to ascertain fully functional and operational equipment.
**Position Requirements**:
- Diploma or Degree courses in an IT related field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in IT Support, Technical Support in end-user client, government agencies etc.
- Good knowledge in Network systems (eg: Firewalls, Servers, Switches), Satellite Communications, Software systems (eg: Applications, inhouse software)
- Must be hands-on in troubleshooting and able to provide strong resolution to IT-related issues.
- Must be a team player and have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
