**In this role, your goals will be**:

- In 3 months:

- Familiarize with the group policies, reporting systems and Internal Control Financial Reporting “ICFR” controls guidelines designed by HQ.
- Perform review, support and give direction to FinancePlus team in Malaysia on month end close, group reporting, and client reports with high accuracy, timeliness and quality reports, liaison with regional finance on all reporting matters /requests.
- Establish good rapport with the agencies /commercial /regional Finance being handled and exercise in partnering with stakeholders.
- In 6 months:

- Provide and interpret financial data of the company to management and stakeholders.
- Review and support budgets, monthly, quarterly forecasts and timely submission to the regional office with high quality.
- Monitoring actual performance with budgets/forecasts, providing an insightful analysis from business sense to support business objectives and reasoning.
- Oversee day-to-day financial/commercial activities and issues of Agencies/FinancePlus
- Liaison with FinancePlus to ensure completion of audits and compliance-related tasks.
- Take lead for all internal and external audits.
- In 12 months:

- Support Commercial and Agency teams to provide guidance as per the financial perspective of a particular agency.
- Drive streamlining, standardisation of finance processes and reports through regular training and post-mortem review with team and Financeplus
- Manage and execute the implementation of system and process improvements to optimise usage, talking into consideration process inter-dependencies and data structure harmonisation within systems.
- To drive the M&A project from IFRS /technical contribution /implementation working with cross-functions /work streams.
- Responsible to maintain the group’s blueprint of corporate and group reporting data for compliance to external and internal reporting /audit requirements.

**Minimum qualifications**:

- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, preferably with a CPA/CA or equivalent professional qualification
- More than 5 years of work experience in accounting and financial reporting and similar position in managing a team.
- Relevant experience with audit background or Large MNCs a plus
- Strong problem solving, analytical skills, technical knowledge and judgement, ability to work collaboratively with the agency teams, FinancePlus and Regional finance team.
- Conscientiousness, attention to details, attentiveness to accuracy and while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Proactive, self-starter, fast learner, and multi-tasking with high level of initiative and resourcefulness is a must within a fast-paced demanding environment.
- Comfort with ambiguity, mature and ability to effectively multi-tasking and prioritize within a fast-paced demanding environment.
