We are currently looking for a **Commercial & Finance Accountant **to join us. In this role, you will be responsible working closely and assisting financial controller and commercial lead for Agencies/Company needs, handle daily business issues, manage company associations and implement and operate robust and efficient controls and procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting. You will be in constant communication and negotiating with business associates and shared service. In addition, you will continuously assist to improve the agencies/GroupM’s procedures, standards or policies while sticking to business edicts and regulatory guidelines.

**In this role, your goals will be**:
**In three months**:

- Be conversant with Agencies/GroupM’s Legal / Finance Structure
- Understand and familiarize Group policy, SOX controls, processes, and procedures.
- Support Commercial/Management team on budgeting exercise in partnership with stakeholders.
- Oversee day-to-day finance/commercial activities of Agencies /GroupM

**In six months**:

- Support and able to work independently on budgeting/forecasting processes and monthly financial reports.
- Good understanding of controls, processes, compliance, and client contracts
- Assist Commercial and partner with Agencies leads to model growth scenarios
- Oversee day-to-day finance/commercial activities and issues of Agencies/GroupM

**In 12 months**:

- Responsible and trusted financial advisor for Agencies performance, financial, budgeting/forecasting
- Problem solving skills and manage client’s issues and reports
- Joint owner with Agencies/GroupM, CEO/MD of overall financial and operational performance

**What your day job looks like at GroupM**:

- Act and support Commercial lead and Business Partner
- All operational aspects around accounting, controls and processes and compliance
- Preparation of various financial and client reports and analysis and interaction with stakeholders
- Analyze Agency/Company financial performance against forecast and recommend via management review meetings corrective actions to help achieve the financial targets
- Working closely with agency lead/Commercial to provide direction to team on overall performance outlook and actions required to achieve results.
- Manage admin overhead by ensuring control of budget/forecasting, trading targets, collaborating with GroupM/Agency team to ensure revenue/spending are on track
- Key driver of internal processes, policies and controls are in place
- Support Agency/Commercial on clients and vendors contracts tracking, clients reporting and safekeeping
- Ensure compliance of client and vendors contract and Revenue Recognition policies and guidelines
- Assist in potential client pitches, RFP, RFI, RFQ, etc
- Analysis of variances and deviations between actuals and budget/forecasting
- Understanding how client profitability analysis can be used to influence and optimize the resource allocations
- Drive for continual process improvement, be proactive and thought provoking in supporting decision making.
- Support GroupM/Commercial on improvement projects
- Ad hoc special project and new business initiatives
- Governance, Compliance, Risk & Reporting Monitor contract compliance and commercial terms

Risk and corporate governance management
- Working with internal and external auditors, ensuring SOX compliance on agency’s matters
- Ensure that all management reports submitted timely
- Monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting to be carried out with high accuracy and timeliness and developing processes to ensure quality reporting,
- Any other work or duties assigned by the management.
