Associate Manager, Commercial Finance

GroupM is the world's largest media investment company and part of WPP. We are responsible for one in every three ads seen globally. We are currently seeking an Associate Manager, Commercial to join us. The role involves constant communication and negotiation with business associates and shared services, along with continuous improvement of agency procedures, standards, or policies in line with business edicts and regulatory guidelines.

About the role
- Oversee media campaign reconciliation, resolve discrepancies with the media team, and ensure media plans are reconciled in systems
- Support and collaborate with the account management team on billing, collections, and payments to ensure operational efficiency
- Manage month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Support monthly, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting processes
- Prepare internal and client reports
- Assist in client, financial, and SOX audit documentation to ensure compliance
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required
About you
- Degree/diploma in accounting
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a finance role
- Prior hands-on experience in accounts receivable, billing operations, or general ledger, preferably in the media industry
- Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office suites
- Responsible, diligent, attentive to detail, and proactive in resolving issues
- Analytical, meticulous, positive attitude, team player, able to work independently
- Strong communication skills, comfortable interacting with internal teams, clients, and suppliers
- Problem-solving skills with quick and effective resolution capabilities
