About the Role

Are you a detail-oriented professional seeking a dynamic and fast-paced work environment? We are looking for an Associate to join our Commercial Finance Operations team. As an Associate, you will assist with various daily processing tasks, including checking accounts, reconciling collections, and maintaining interest amounts.

  • Assist Loan Administration with daily processing tasks such as checking Ares owned DDAs for incoming wires.
  • Reconcile daily collection postings and process vendor invoices.
  • Maintain and validate interest amounts, monitor alerts from a 3rd party vendor system, and review borrowers collateral reporting packages.
  • Calculate and monitor customers' daily borrowing capacity, post collateral values, and perform monthly accounts receivable verifications.
  • Maintain a monthly Client Checklist and assist in setting up borrowers' initial borrowing base certificate.
  • Support Credit Officers with portfolio management, risk assessment, due-diligence, and Investment Committee presentations.
Qualifications

We seek a candidate with a college degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or a minimum of two years of experience in the Asset Based Lending industry.

Strong grasp of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong mathematical aptitude are also essential.

Able to focus on routine tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment while maintaining confidentiality.

Reporting Relationships

Your reporting relationships will be with the Managing Director of Operations and Commercial Finance.
