**PURPOSE OF ROLE**

With a strong commercial orientation, this role is responsible for supporting the Commercial Finance Manager and the team in producing the budget and forecasts and various management reports on a timely basis. This is achieved by actively engaging with the businesses and understanding key business drivers. This role is also responsible for providing analytical insights and ensuring that data reported is validated and accurate.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

1.To assist in the budget and forecast process. Ensure that the budgets and forecasts are built on valid and accurate assumptions

2. Providing analytical support and assistance to the various key stakeholders within the Company and the ship owners

3. Monitor and assist in crew costs matters, invoice processing and vendor related matters

4. Prepare monthly financial reports, analysis and forecast for operational costs accurately and on a timely basis such as for vessel operations, new vessel building, vessel dry dock (and maintenance), CPAEX and Projects

5. Ensure strict adherence to account closing deadlines and completeness of reporting

6. Provide monthly/quarterly cash advance reconciliation to ship owners

7. Assist in the preparation of the Business Performance Review pack and Board Papers.

8. Assist the tracking and monitoring of various departmental / business KPI’s

9. Support the bi-annual inventory reconciliation exercise

**KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field
- Communication skills are fundamental (both written and verbal)
- 3 years commercial experience post-graduation.
- Experience with ANA Plan is preferred
- Sound knowledge of financial analysis and modelling
- Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
- High degree of independence
- Demonstrates strong team work and eagerness to learn
- Strong knowledge in MS Office - Excel and Powerpoint
