Residential Care Worker will be working with male juvenile offenders, between the age of 14 to 20, in an institutional facility, which focuses on community rehabilitation. They are required to work in shifts.
List of responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Oversee the residents on a daily basis; manage the welfare, discipline, and standards of regimentation in the Rehab institution;
- Plan and coordinate the daily routine or programmes for the residents;
- Able to build a strong relationship with these residents and be role models for the residents;
- Ensure the safety and security of premises
Competencies:
- Ability to interact positively with male juvenile offenders individually and in group settings
- Ability to enforce discipline standards in a fair and respectful manner
- Ability to plan and coordinate daily routine and programmes
- Knowledge and ability to comply with safety, emergency requirement
- Passionate in making a positive impact on lives of the youth
- Team player
- Resilience: able to overcome adversity and emerge stronger
- Integrity: guiding decisions with moral principles
- Serving: willing to go the extra mile for others
- Excellence: always expecting the best of self
**Requirements**:
- N level and above
- Able to do rotating shifts
- Independent, resourceful and responsible
- Firm in upholding the standards and responsiveness in dealing with people
- Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, etc
