The Purchaser (Gourmet) is responsible for sourcing, evaluation and procurement of food supplies to ensure optimal cost-saving in purchases and business efficiency, as well as to ensure uninterrupted fulfilment to the Retail and Restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for outlets
- Sourcing and managing local purchasing activities and services
- Obtain quotes from potential suppliers to provide costing and cost reduction
- Work closely with Outlets, in term of product feedback and supplier performance
- Work closely with respective department for New product code creation & new product information
- Establishes purchasing requirements based on the need of the organization. Recommends goods/services to internal customers as necessary.
- Source for appropriate samples and products with the best possible pricing and payment terms by manner of quotation from suppliers
- Be up-to-date with new and existing products and suppliers’ information which are relevant to the purchaser’s discipline or area of work
- Ensure GRN is complete on time and update inventory system upon new stock arrival
- Daily ad-hoc tasks and additional operational specialisations and responsibilities to be taken on with time, based on strength and performance
- Must have the right attitude, be helpful, proactive, responsible and willing to learn.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma Above / Equivalent Certificate
- At least three years of similar or related experience in food industry
- Familiar with purchasing process
- Experience in food industry will be advantageous
- Good knowledge of Gourmet Food is a plus
- Analytical skills, strong communication skills and problem-solving aptitude
- Good problem solver who is able to think out the box for solutions, and consistently looks to improve/ establish new operational processes
- Able to work independently and in a team to handle diverse situation with the ability to work with tight deadlines
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel is a plus
- Fluent in English; Chinese will be advantageous
