The Program Manager - New Product Introduction (NPI) is responsible to lead the planning and execution of complex, cross-functional programs for the development and launch of innovative medical technologies. This role ensures alignment across product development, regulatory, operations, supply chain, and commercial functions to deliver new products to market on time, within budget, and in compliance with global regulatory standards.
**Team inspiration and Leadership**:
- Lead and inspire a diverse team across multiple geographies, fostering culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
- Lead cross-functional program teams through all phases of the NPI lifecycle—from concept through design, validation, regulatory submission, and full commercialization.
- Define program scope, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
- Drive execution through all phases of the product development lifecycle (PDP/NPD), including design transfer and production ramp-up.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, FDA QSR, EU MDR, and other relevant standards/regulations.
- Lead other team as needed in delegate role or other, as/when needed to ensure continuity of the projects as per business requirements.
- Develop team capability through effective activity, talent development and individual coaching using Meiban’s talent development review and other support processes.
**Driving Project Velocity**:
- **Stakeholder Management & Cross Functional Coordination**:
- Coordinate efforts between R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Clinical teams to ensure program alignment and execution.
- Facilitate clear communication and collaboration across all stakeholders, driving accountability and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project status, timelines, risks, and issues.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and executive updates.
- **Risk Management**:
- Implement mitigation strategies to address potential delays, resource conflicts, and regulatory hurdles.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage program risks and dependencies.
- **Governance & Reporting**:
- Lead program reviews, design control phase gate reviews, and executive steering committee updates.
- Ensure program documentation meets quality and compliance standards, including Design History Files (DHF) and Technical Files.
- Track KPIs to measure program performance and identify areas for improvement.
- **Operational Excellence**:
- Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations.
- Work with functional leaders to secure and align resources across the program lifecycle.
- Ensure successful initial implementation of programs into production, including activities related to sourcing, supplier management, planning, logistics, inventory control, and distribution.
- Monitor production and supply chain performance, and implement corrective actions as needed to address disruptions, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in cost, quality, and delivery speed in collaboration with the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Team.
- **Technology & Systems**:Leverage MS-Project or any other technology to drive data-based decisions, visibility, and automation across the business
- **Leadership & Development**:Build and mentor a high-performing project management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- **Sustainability & Compliance**:Ensure adherence to global trade compliance, regulatory standards, and corporate sustainability goals.
- **Change Management Proficiency**:Navigate organizational change and evolution, embedding new operating models while ensuring effective team buy-in.
