**ENGIE Lab Singapore **is the research centre of ENGIE for Asia-Pacific. ENGIE Lab Singapore brings the technical expertise of ENGIE Research in APAC by developing local expertise and allowing access in the region to all the technical expertise developed by ENGIE Research in Europe. Bridging the gap between ENGIE Research and business units, ENGIE Lab Singapore plays a key coordinator/local technical support role in balancing the R&D effort and the business needs for the Group.

Based in Singapore since 2015, ENGIE Lab Singapore addresses 3 technological areas: Green Data Centres, Sustainable Cooling and Local Energy Communities including the REIDS-SPORE multifluid multi-thematic platform.

**ROLE DESCRIPTION**:
ENGIE Lab Singapore is looking for a driven and experienced manager with a passion for the energy transition to contribute to the various research projects and expertise services under on one or multiple technological areas that the Lab addresses: Green Data Centres, Low Carbon Cooling, Integration of Low Carbon Solutions, Energy Management System and Micro/Smart Grid. The role will encompass management and delivery of research, innovation and development with the support of a team of research and project engineers.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manage and lead a team of research and project engineers to deliver R&D projects and expert services;
- Develop, review, adjust, and refine existing or new research strategy and roadmap;
- Lead the translation of R&D deliverables to demonstrate its values in collaboration with ENGIE business entities and partners;
- Manage project stakeholders including various ENGIE research & innovation communities, ENGIE business entities, research partners, public agencies/authorities, solution/equipment suppliers, consultants, contractors etc.
- Support the Lab Director in planning and executing the Lab’s strategy;

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- You have min. 3 years of management experience of a sizeable team in energy or research environment;
- You have a Master’s or Ph.D. in an engineering discipline;
- Proven track records in leading, developing and executing strategies in R&D or relevant business environment;
- You have strong knowledge of the energy industry on one or more of the topics addressed by ENGIE Lab Singapore;
- Knowledge on emerging / innovative and decarbonized solutions are an added advantage;

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:

- Strong leadership and management attributes with high degree of autonomy
- Resourceful, positive, and solution-oriented attitude with problem-solving skills and a ‘can do’ approach
- A leader by examples and with willingness to invest time and effort in team members
- Adaptable and able to lead and manage a wide spectrum of topics/activities in the low carbon energy sector as necessary
- Open and passionate about new technologies, solutions and innovations in low carbon energy sector
- Proven ability to influence, engage and communicate with stakeholders effectively
- Excellent team player with good interpersonal and communication skills to function effectively in a multi-cultural environment
- Able to handle multiple assignments without losing sight in a timely manner
- May require travel in APAC/European region
