**About the Department**:
The **Compliance** function is a strategic partner and a trusted business enabler to the Board and senior management. It is our responsibility to ensure that the Group continuously fulfils its regulatory obligations in today’s tight and dynamic regulatory landscape. To do that, we work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and to assess regulatory risks. This collaboration also includes developing practical solutions that integrate regulations into operational requirements as well as actively shaping and promoting stronger compliance culture and literacy in the Bank.

**Responsibilities**:
**Strategy**
- Assists with the development of strategy and governance for regulator(s) relationship management and engagement to ensure close and positive relationships
- Regulatory interaction governance/coordination
- Manages the flow of correspondence with local (Singapore -MAS) and international regulator(s) and similar industry bodies
- Summarises and communicates regulator reviews and requests for relevant internal bank stakeholders, overseen by the Head of Regulatory Liaison
- Assists with the management of key regulatory activities internally across UOB, including regulatory exams, information requests and ongoing supervisory meetings
- Assists with the management of deliverables relating to regulatory exams, including tracking and follow up with key stakeholders
- Maintains visibility of remediation efforts and manages progress of regulatory reviews and requests
- Assists Head of Regulatory Liaison with coordinating and drafting regulatory responses to local and other international regulators

**Senior Management Engagement**
- Produces summary reporting to Senior Management on aforementioned regulator interactions, reviews, progress, etc.

**Team organization**
- Maintains team documentation including policies, procedures and tracking documents
- Assists the Head of Regulatory Liaison with team planning

**Job Requirements**:

- 8-10 years experience in a regulatory engagement role or at a major financial services regulator or in a similar high regulator visibility role at a peer institution. Experience working for a major regulator in Singapore or globally preferred
- Project management skills and familiarity with project management tools
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts and consolidate into material for external regulators and senior executives
- Ability to build strong internal and external networks and experience engaging with senior management on strategic regulatory issues
- Experience in regulatory and Internal Audit interaction, exam management/coordination, and issue management/resolution preferred
