The Duke-NUS Cancer and Stem Cell Biology (CSCB) Programme studies the causes and treatments of cancer and related diseases. The CSCB research groups have diverse programmes in both basic cancer biology and clinical-translational studies, with a special emphasis on cancers that affect the Asian community in general.
- Develop, deploy and maintain bioinformatics workflows to process large volumes of heterogenous genomics data (e.g. exome/genome/transcriptome sequencing etc).
- Analyse multi-omics data to obtain insights on the human cancer landscape at various levels ranging from bulk tumors down to tumor associated promoters and identification of transcription factor binding sites.
- Assist in developing machine learning models to 1) predict risk of cancer development and cancer progression and 2) provide personalized, molecularly-driven therapeutic recommendations.
- Provide bioinformatics support to researchers within the group and external collaborators.
- Ensure secure storage of the generated genomics data.

**Job Requirements**:

- PhD Degree in Computer Science/ Biology related field (e.g. Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, Computational Biology, Genetics, etc.).
- Experience with workflow managers such as Nextflow, Snakemake, Cromwell/WDL and their associated languages.
- Experience with next generation sequencing data analysis (e.g. ChIP-Seq, RNA-seq etc.), especially for human cancers.
- Possesses strong programming skills, especially in Python, CHANCE, MACS2, ROSE and R.
- Experience with tools such as RStudio and Jupyter will be valuable.
- A track record of contributing to peer-reviewed publications in relevant areas will be advantageous.
