International Subsidiary Banking (ISB) is Commercial Banking’s international proposition which aims to provide banking coverage to the subsidiaries of Commercial Banking (CMB) customers within the Large Corporate and Mid
- Market Enterprise segments. The International Subsidiary Banking strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our customers. The International Subsidiary Banking business is a significant contributor of revenue to Commercial Banking and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 60 countries.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Team Head, IBT, International Subsidiary Banking.**

Principal Responsibilities

Team Head, IBT role is a key leadership role with in ISB Singapore. The team head, in partnership with the ISB Head is responsible for setting and executing the strategy for the IBT business. The IBT team contributes more than 20% of ISB SGH’s revenues through managing a portfolio of cliens who are subsidiaries of key group relationships of CMB globally.

We are currently seeking a highly driven and ambitious individual to join our ISB Singapore team in the role of Team Head, IBT, working together with Senior Leaders to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets

IBT Team Head main responsibilities are as follows:

- Set strategic direction for the IBT team in alignment with ISB/CMB objectives
- Lead planning and execution of team’s strategic priorities
- Lead and develop a team of highly motivated bankers to deliver industry leading solutions to sophisticated clients
- Providing practical guidance, advice, mentoring and coaching to ISB team members
- Manage risk - Credit, Financial Crime, Operational and other key risks associated, with in agreed parameters
- Enhance connectivity and partnership with key internal senior stake holders - CMB Heads, ISB Heads, Product Heads, Group Relationship Managers
- Develop and grow relationships with business associations, relevant chambers of commerce and other organizations that assist companies in their international expansion plans
- Be proactively involved in the external Corporate market place, acting as a senior ambassador for HSBC, including origination and negotiations with clients, prospective clients, professionals and financial sponsors
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standard operating procedures when managing client needs
Requirements
- Team leadership experience
- Prior experience in regional treasury centers of managing multinational clients(MNC), and subsidiary relationships is preferred
- Strong understanding of MNC business environment in Asia, with particular focus on ASEAN
- Experience of structured banking transactions, leveraged finance, syndicated loans, private placements, corporate bonds, securitizations and Global Banking and Markets
- Excellent knowledge of the Bank’s structures, products and services
- Experience of managing the competing priorities of deal flows, credit quality and the requirement to drive income
- Proven leadership skills and an ability to project and engender ownership of corporate goals in others and communication skills to inspire others
- Experience of dealing with senior stake holders, both internally and externally
- Experience in environments requiring strong analytical skills and understanding of key financial information and data
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the external environment within Country - regulatory, political, competitor and market
- Demonstrated knowledge of technology development and infrastructure and how this can be used to meet business needs
- Global perspective and understanding of economic affairs and policies
- Degree with over 12 years of relevant working experience
