Test Development Staff Engineer, Optical Test

Singapore AMS SENSORS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. Full time

Perform activities for the development, characterization, and implementation of new test equipment, jigs and fixtures, test concepts, methods and programs into new product development
- Develop and execute test strategy for new products including design for test analysis and feedback
- Develop image processing methodology and algorithm for image pattern analysis
- Develop new techniques for test handling and fixtures, using experimental design and statistical method, evaluate failure data to find root cause and implement sound engineering solution
- Perform optical metrology measurement for new project and interpret measurement result to define problems statement, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Review product requirements with product designers to ensure compatibility with processing and testing methods with design goals, then define methodology and equipment requirements and specifications used in the manufacturing and assessment of imaging and lighting devices
- Perform optical simulation to identify the source of product and measurement error, as a supporting reference of analysis
- Be a technical lead in a diverse team environment that includes interactions with suppliers, internal and xternal customers and production personnel

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree/Master/PhD in Optics/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Min. 7 years of related experience in semiconductor / Optics R&D / packaging / manufacturing background
- Possess camera/lighting package product knowledge would be an added advantage
- Have strong leadership qualities and be able to drive project teams in ensuring set timelines, costs and quality expectations are met
- Possess prior experience in project management and good reporting skill
- Familiar with Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Possess the ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to work under pressure and commit at irregular hours when required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and influence a wide range of internal and external customers
