Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for the latest NPI products.
  • Perform electro-optical tests to characterize active optoelectronic devices and photonic integrated circuits.
  • Generate test reports with measurement results and detailed analyses in a timely manner
  • Contribute actively to the build-up of test and characterization capabilities of the Photonics Test Lab, including maintenance of test set-ups and jigs and calibration of the measurement instrumentation, as well as software control and automation of the set-ups.
  • Work with design engineers to support DFT (Design for testability) and ensure testability of opical modules.
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles such as basics of circuit design and electrical testing and concepts
  • Hands-on experience with power supply, source measurement unit, optical power meter etc.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration, especially with NPI, process, quality, and production teams.
  • Any other duties as and when assigned by your superiors.

Requirements:

  • Graduate with relevant Engineering faculty.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools like Excel or statistical software (e.g. JMP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting and teamwork.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the engineering field.
  • Adaptability and willingness to work under supervision as part of a team.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to take initiative on small-scale tasks.
