As a Partner Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in recruiting and onboarding strategic ISVs while fostering strong relationships with key Microsoft partners, including GISV and Strategic local partners. This dynamic position combines sales and business development, where you will effectively communicate the unique value proposition of partnering with Microsoft over competitors. Your keen eye for market opportunities, in close collaboration with the ATU, Specialist, and IBB teams, will drive specific outcomes that align with the APAC ACR and industry goals, embodying a culture of accountability.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting partner business plans, fostering skills growth, and enhancing industry presence. Your expertise will contribute to partner readiness through the implementation of effective selling strategies, strategic marketing plans, and portfolio optimization.
**Responsibilities**:
**Partner Sales and Consumption**:
- ** Transformation and Collaboration**: Coach and challenge partners to transform their plans and strategies. Lead reviews of partner pipelines, deals, and consumption targets. Drive collaboration between Microsoft and partner sales teams, remove blockers, and identify new opportunities.
- ** Go-to-Market Strategies**: Develop go-to-market and co-selling strategies with partners. Allocate incentives and resources effectively. Coach partners on consumption economics and ensure strong pipeline management. Drive campaigns, offers, and incentives with partner marketing teams.
**Trusted Advisor Relationship**: Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with C-suite leaders of complex partners. Understand partners' priorities, strategies, and goals and align them with Microsoft's objectives. Track plan execution, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions.
**Business Design and Planning***: Architect partnership frameworks and develop strategic partner business plans aligned with field goals. Drive growth, promote cloud consumption, and digital transformation. Share expert knowledge to challenge partners and consider new ways to grow businesses.
**Skills and Capacity Development**: Lead integration of skills and capacity plans for partner businesses. Create a learning culture and develop solutions that enhance partners' capabilities through sales and tech training. Drive growth, convert capacity to revenue, and align partners with industry trends.
**Portfolio Evaluation and Solution**s: Evaluate partner portfolios, identify patterns, opportunities, and gaps. Propose existing or new solutions for joint investment. Align partner needs with market opportunities and build a healthy portfolio of solution offerings.
**Strategic Vision and Partnerships**: Develop a long-range strategic vision for partners across segments. Demonstrate expert understanding of the industry and integrate partners' businesses into the Microsoft landscape. Sell account vision, establish new market partnerships, and drive deep commitments. Uphold Microsoft policies and compliance standards.
**Partner Performance and Impact**:
- ** Escalation Management**: Ensure timely resolution of complex and urgent partner escalations. Orchestrate responses from internal teams and advocate for partners' solutions and issues. Champion internal processes and advocate for partner relationships within Microsoft.
- ** Talent Development and Alignment**: Ensure partners invest in building high-performing teams. Create strategic alignment with local partner executives and leverage other Microsoft organizations for better solutions and sales cycles. Act as a trusted advisor in cloud sales transformation.

- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field AND 8+ years experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience OR equivalent experience.
**Additional or Preferred Qualifications**:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Science, or an advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or a related field AND 10+ years experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience
