Job description

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with expertise in information retrieval to join the revolution to help us improve various business outcomes and drive innovation. You will join a multidisciplinary team helping to shape our Product development. This is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of emerging trends and technologies to a real-world difference.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design search field and schema
- Indexing of data on solrcloud or similar search solution software
- Selection of appropriate tokenization for index and search handlers
- Ranking, sorting, filtering, and faceting optimisation
- Cache, memory, and cpu optimisation
- Monitoring and maintenance of solrcloud or similar solution
- Continuous integration of data

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as an Information retrieval Engineer or similar role
- Must be able to code both in Java and Python
- Good understanding of scalable, highly reliable and fault tolerant search solutions
- Experience with solr or elastic search is must
Experience with AWS is plus
- Strong communication skills
- An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computational Linguistics or similar field
- Domain knowledge of Material sciences and/or chemistry is big plus
