**Position Overview**:
The Head of Software Development will be responsible for guiding the software development team, crafting our technological vision, and driving our software initiatives. This role requires a combination of technical prowess, leadership capability, and a passion for innovating within the educational space.

**Key Responsibilities:
**1. Leadership and Strategy**:

- Lead and mentor a team of software developers, ensuring project goals are met and coding standards are adhered to.
- Define and execute the software strategy in line with the company's educational goals.
- Collaborate with other department heads to align software solutions with broader organizational needs.

**2. Software Development**:

- Ensure software solutions are scalable, secure, and have optimal performance.
- Adopt and promote best practices in software development, testing, and maintenance.

**3. Technical Innovation**:

- Stay updated with the latest technological trends and innovations to ensure MapleBear remains at the forefront of educational technology.
- Explore and implement new technologies that could enhance classroom experiences or administrative efficiency.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in the software development process.

**4. Stakeholder Collaboration**:

- Liaise with educators, administrators, and parents to gather feedback and requirements for software solutions. Engage with external technology vendors and partners when necessary.

**Key Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proficiency in various programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Experience in educational technology or with software solutions in the educational sector is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from inception to completion.
