**Job overview**:
This position sits within the International OPS structure, which is responsible for all strategic Ops projects for all RBI brands across its international regions (EMEA, APAC, & LAC). Within this structure, the position reports into the OPS Engineering function. The type of projects will vary but tend to be of medium
- to long-term focus, on one or more of these areas: guest experiences, restaurant efficiency, and franchisee profitability.
This position interacts with a wide range of individuals and teams including but not limited to restaurant team members, multi-unit managers, restaurant owners, equipment/technology manufacturers, internal cross-functional teams such as ops, tech, marketing, supply chain, development and the leadership team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Improves guest experiences, restaurant efficiency and franchisee profitability globally by leveraging on continuous & step-change improvement opportunities with primary focus in equipment & technologies.
- Models, analyzes, & benchmarks current restaurant operations, equipment, & technologies performance for improvement opportunities.
- Consolidates internal & external voices of customers into solutions critical-to-quality's.
- Structures problem statements and drives solutions scouting, prototyping, testing, and deployment efforts.
- Communicates executable plans and influences internal & external stakeholders.
- Develops business case and ROI models for rollout of new and novel equipment & technologies throughout the regions.
- Creates & drives the Restaurant of the Future vision & roadmap.
- Creates and manages global relationships with key equipment & technologies partners.
- Advocates for our guests and restaurant crews' experiences and the success of our franchisees.
**Qualifications**:
- Master's Degree in Engineering (industrial, systems, mechanical, mechatronics, automation, software, or similar)- 2 to 4 years of prior work experience in engineering and engineering management in the food service/restaurant/QSR industr
- 2 to 4 years of prior work experience involving technical project management, continuous improvements, change management, ops/digital transformation, product development (prototyping, testing, commercializing, etc.), and suppliers management.
- Prior experience working in food service, restaurants, QSR, or hospitality is required.
- Entrepreneurial character with confidence to challenge status quo, take creative/unconventional approaches, & work with unknowns.
- Strong commercial acumen, bias for action, results-driven, and methodical.
- Strong interests in new technologies and improved ways of working.
