Roles & Responsibilities

**Overview:
1. To coordinate and be responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation of programmes and ensure the smooth running of daily operations of the Assistance & Well-Being (A&W) function in ACMI.

2. Develops and lead case intervention and care plan and leads the development and delivery of programmes/services/projects.

3. Delivers education and training for staff and other stakeholders, mentoring the staff and creates development opportunities for them.

4. To consolidate relevant reports of programmes and activities for management decision-making.

5. To liaise with external agencies, organisations, donors, volunteers, etc. to tap on external resources and/ or publicise programmes.

**Core Tasks:
1. Programme and service planning
- Lead in the planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation of the A&W’s strategy, the various programmes/services/projects to ensure performance indicators and operating guidelines issued by the Archdiocese, Government agencies and ACMI, provide regular progress reports on the programmes and services, outcome management, etc.
- Ensure that ACMI’s Philosophy, Vision and Mission are integrated and adhered to in all aspects of work.
- Manage and responsible for the planning, execution, evaluation and ensure the smooth running of daily operations of the ACMI Helplines and Operating Centres.
- Network with key stakeholders, the community, and other agencies to establish additional avenues of help for the welfare of the beneficiaries.
- Analyse outcomes of community need assessments for new programmes/services/projects.
- Lead development of programmes/services/projects and best practices.

2. Casework Intervention
- Develop and lead case and care plans and interventions.
- Lead needs and intake assessments for complex cases.
- Lead and provide consultation on social work practice across disciplines.
- Review progress of casework intervention.
- Review social reports and closure of cases.

3. Grant Application and Proposal Writing

4. Finance and Accounts
- Prepare and monitor A&W’s yearly budget.
- Implement checks and controls to ensure proper accounting records and to safeguard against misappropriation of the organisation’s assets.

5. Training and Development of Personnel
- Lead, motivate and train personnel who are placed under his/her supervision.

6. Administrative Duties
- Prepare and collate monthly reports to the Executive Director.
- Provide secretariat support to the Executive Director for all A&W related matters.
- Undertake any other duties as required.

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:

- Minimum a recognised degree in Social Service/Social Work or related discipline, with some years of management experience in the non-profit sector.

**Experience**:

- At least 5 years of relevant experience in social work.
- People Management: Experience in managing and developing staff & leading the team
- Communications: Good oral, written, vetting, interpersonal communication skills in dealing with individuals and groups at all levels.
- Assessment and Planning skills: Case assessment & theoretical framework at the group level, case allocation, evaluate and enhance work processes.
- Knowledge: Rich in community and social service resources.
- Analytical Ability, Problem-solving: The ability to assimilate and analyse information quickly and accurately and to think strategically, formulate decisions and make recommendations.
- Working with people of different nationalities and cultures is helpful.

- Familiar and comfortable working in settings such as communities, religious voluntary welfare organisations, partners frequently with other agencies and ministries.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good communication and time management skills

- Independent, proactive, possess a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Highly organized, resourceful, and able to juggle several tasks simultaneously
- Good MS Office skills and technologically savvy
