
Regional Media Lead

We are seeking an experienced **Regional Media Lead** to drive the success of a portfolio of high-profile multinational brands across APAC. In this role, you will be the strategic leader and trusted partner, overseeing all facets of regional media operations, client leadership, and performance across **Communications Planning, Media Activation, Measurement, Platform Performance, Operations, and Analytics**.
As the **APAC Media Lead**, you will provide strategic direction, foster strong client relationships, and inspire innovative thinking both internally and externally. You will act as the key liaison between the client and our teams, ensuring seamless connectivity across regional markets, delivering high-impact solutions, and driving the alignment of global workstreams and best practices.
You’ll be responsible for steering **digital transformation and innovation** initiatives, leveraging data and analytics to inform media investment decisions, and promoting adaptive marketing strategies that enhance client performance.
Additionally, you will oversee resource allocation, process optimisation, and tech maturity audits to ensure continuous improvement across the portfolio.
With frequent interaction with senior-level clients, you will represent **GroupM** as the face of our organisation, ensuring the highest levels of client satisfaction while identifying opportunities to grow revenue through value-added services. As the senior business partner, you’ll balance the needs of clients, markets, and internal teams, driving results that exceed expectations and deliver measurable success.
**Responsibilities of the role**:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to key regional stakeholders, including the APAC VP of Marketing, APAC Digital Transformation Lead, APAC IBE Lead, and other senior leaders in Marketing, Procurement, and Finance.
- Acts as a client visionary by bringing a highly valued perspective to the client based on a deep understanding of their business, issues, and opportunities
- Navigate complex organisational structures by building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Design and share the overall strategic approach for the account to meet client business objectives and strategies while overseeing the implementation of annual planning in collaboration with the client team.
- Cultivates trust and operates with a high degree of ownership and accountability to earn the trust of clients and colleagues alike.
- Collaborate across all local markets, ensuring quality product and service delivery to create award-winning, business-changing media work.
- Increase organic revenue growth by identifying services that can unlock client business growth.
- Ensure that all client-facing materials are of the highest quality, strategically aligned, and reflective of GroupM’s capabilities.
- Champion consumer-centric thinking in all strategic media initiatives, providing thoughtful POVs on emerging trends in the media landscape.
- Driving the financial goals of the account by managing costs, revenue, and scope of work in accordance with client contracts and opportunities for mutual benefit.
- Successfully manage staffing resources, across regional and local teams.
- Build client satisfaction by soliciting feedback and operating like a consultant
- Leading and providing timely and actionable feedback to the team to aid in their development and progress to the regional team.
- Effectively address client satisfaction, renewal, and escalation issues until resolved
- Manage, develop, and mentor your direct reports, fostering a culture of learning and high performance.

- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and clients in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in leading and inspiring teams within a regional, matrixed organisation, ideally within a large holding company or integrated team environment.
