**Overview**:
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Retail, this position is responsible for leading a group of stores in attaining and exceeding sales goals and other key performance indicators. The Area Manager also plays a pivotal role in ensuring all stores provide valuable experiences and world class service to our consumers every day.
**What You'll Do**:
- Establish high standards for performance and set clear expectations for store managers or store-in-charge
- Closely monitor daily sales performance of each store while analyzing sales data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement, leading the team toward meeting and exceeding objectives through the implementation of corrective actions
- Develop and implement regional business plans aligned with company objectives
- Identify market trends and opportunities within the area to drive sales growth by analyzing competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly
- Monitor and manage operational costs to maximize profitability
- Offer consultation and recommendations to store in-charge / store managers on overcoming challenges in meeting objectives and retail KPIs
- Provide timely reports on sales performance, operational issues, and market insights
- collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations across the area/market
- Review and optimize store crew’s work schedules and reduce need for part-time or temporary workers while ensuring each store is adequately staffed to meet with seasonal needs
- Enable all stores in delivering a high level of operational excellence including visual merchandising, loss prevention, cash handling, inventory control, store cleanliness, and safety and security of people and assets
- Communicate and ensure compliance with all company policies and directives such as Crocs, Inc. Asset Protection policies and procedures, employment and workplace health and safety, etc.
- Maintain an uncompromising level of business ethics and integrity
- Source, assess, interview and select the best suited talent for each store
- Supervise store manager or store-in-charge and provide specific and timely feedback through coaching and corrective action to improve personal and area performance
- Assess and develop talent within the team for future growth
- Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly
- Foster a positive team culture and motivate staff to achieve sales goals
**What You'll Bring to the Table**:
- At least a Diploma in any Discipline
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 4-6 years of retail management experience
- Requires 2-4 years of multi -unit management experience
- Proven track record of being able to work autonomously, while having strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, communication and motivational skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent business and financial acumen, including operational analysis
- Proven ability to exceed sales while meeting payroll goals
- Demonstrated ability to identify, hire, train, develop and retain top talent Managers as well as teams
- Ability to reason through complex issues, demonstrates effective communication, ability to present information to large groups
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in business operations
- Negotiating and resolving conflicts with employees and customers
