PEDAGOGY AND PLANNING

**What you will be working on**
- The Pedagogy, Planning, Systems and Processes Division is responsible for:

- curriculum planning and design
- pedagogical methods and techniques of instruction
- implementing competency frameworks; knowledge and learning management systems; as well as workflows and processes that support learning judges
- executing the delivery of curricula and instruction

The Deputy Director (Pedagogy) reports to the Director (Pedagogy and Planning) and is expected to assist the Director to:

- work with the Centre for Leadership and Judgecraft and the Centre for Specialist Knowledge and Skills, and evaluate the learner profiles, learning preferences, as well as environmental opportunities and challenges affecting the target learner groups to guide learning design
- design learning solutions (with any domain experts) including:

- proposing appropriate learning delivery modes to achieve learning outcomes
- recommending appropriate learning technologies and innovative design approaches to incorporate into learning solutions
- leading e-courseware development for teaching, learning and assessment
- developing methods and tools to assess learner progress
- incorporating relevant feedback received to iteratively improve learning solutions
- undertaking feasibility analyses of new learning delivery modes with Systems and Processes unit to inform learning solution design
- drive adoption of learning solutions by:

- engaging stakeholders before implementing learning solutions
- developing communication plans for proposed learning solutions
- work with the Centre for Research to build and maintain a knowledge base relevant to cutting-edge instructional pedagogy
- work with Systems and Processes unit to oversee the implementation of learning solutions, including:

- implementing strategies to manage learner development
- implementing learner and performance assessment methods
- collating and reviewing feedback from learners and stakeholders on the impact and effectiveness of learning solutions
- manage and oversee the work of the S/AD (Pedagogy)

**What we are looking for**
- Requirements:

- At least 8 years of accumulated experience (or its equivalent) in a tertiary institution or professional training institute undertaking work in learning design and pedagogical innovation for effective adult learning, and familiarity with competency-based approaches and frameworks.
- A versatile team player who is also an analytical, critical and independent thinker
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ACTA / ACLP or DACE / DDDLP qualification will be preferred
- Relevant qualifications in law or relevant experience working in legal education / legal professional development will be preferred
