DESIGNATION : Senior Manager/Manager (Engineering - Snr FSM & Mechanical)

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for overseeing the Gardens’ operational requirements, for both the indoor and outdoor gardens’ engineering and facilities, which includes the management of individual operational systems within the Gardens. You will be expected to oversee the daily operations of managing agents and contractors in accordance to contract requirements and schedules, as well as liaise with other departments on the gardens’ engineering and facility matters. You will also administer project contract management to optimize project/maintenance costs and ensure operationally viable solutions and maintenance of proper records for the facilities. You have to plan for regular maintenance of facilities and equipment to ensure proper working conditions.

**For Senior Fire Safety Manager**:
**Roles & Duties**
- Comply with SCDF role and responsibilities for Senior FSM
- Ensure timely renewal of Fire Certificate
- Conduct and coordinate 2 table-top and fire drills yearly and evaluate the effectiveness of such exercises and drills
- Notify building owner of new regulations & policies.
- To conduct monthly fire safety checks on Fire Protection & Prevention System to ensure compliance with regulations.
- To ensure all fire protection and prevention systems are properly maintained and in compliance
- Annual review and update of the Fire Emergency Response Plan
- Implement and execute safety improvement programs to promote safety awareness and commitment by employees, vendors and contractors;
- To ensure all fire protection and prevention systems are properly maintained and in compliance
- Train the occupants on the premises in first aid, firefighting and evacuation in the event of a fire or other related emergencies;
- Liaise and coordinate with SCDF and qualified person on all matters relating to fire safety and its requirements
- Notify SCDF immediately of any occurrence of fire incidents on the premises
- To carry out a fire safety risk assessment of the premises at least once every year;
- Be aware of any changes in work processes or work activities which may increase the fire risk within the premises; and whenever the SCDF Commissioner directs a fire risk assessment to be carried out;
- To perform checks to ensure that any fire safety works using alternative solutions meet the requirements set out in the operations and maintenance manual.
- Submit FSM yearly report to the building owner.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University with at least 3 years of Senior FSM experience.
- Good knowledge of formulating Fire Emergency Response Plan and setting up a Company Emergency Response Team.
- Experience in renewing Fire Certificate.
- Good knowledge of fire systems, plumbing and sanitary, or water network systems and associated ancillary systems.
- Possessing a Water Efficiency Manager certification would be an added advantage.
- Creative, innovative and resourceful in implementing cutting edge engineering technologies.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
