Salling Search has been given an exclusive mandate to search for a **Regional Key Account Manager **for our client, DESMI.
Founded in 1834 and one of Denmark’s oldest companies, DESMI is a leading specialist in the development, manufacturing, sale and service of pumps and pumping solutions for marine, industry, defense & fuel, and utility. Currently, the DESMI pumps and systems are being sold to more than 100 countries via a network of subsidiaries and distributors on six continents.

**Responsibilities**
- To make contact, communicate, visit and introduce to the potential shipowner or ship designer customers the complete range of products and systems - Marine Pumps, Ballast Water Management Systems, Opti-Save Energy Optimization systems, Fire Fighting systems and automation solutions.
- Key marketing activities and efforts shall be focused on Marine Pumps, Ballast Water
- Treatment System and Opti-save Energy Optimization and automation solutions to Ship owners, shipyards, ship designers and business partners within the region.
- To work closely with the regional sales manager and factory and business partners to achieve sustainable growth set goals and increase sales and market share for the marine market in the region.
- To evaluate, review and clarify inquiry specifications with the potential customers and lead the sales support team to prepare proposals with the most suitable range of products and systems and pricing for the inquiry.
- Contact and follow-up visit with the proposal to the potential customer for any technical and commercial clarifications and negotiation, contract reviews, smooth order processing support etc.
- To collaborate with the regional sales team and business partners planning for the exhibition, customer visits products/systems training or presentation and business development and obtaining market info in relation to market intelligence, targets and performance etc.
- Attend any urgent service calls or customer complaints and liaison with the service support team and factory and customer arranging for service support for rectification works if required.
- To work closely with factories and partnerships and the group of companies to facilitate and ensure the delivery of the Group’s Global Strategy.
- To support the sales team and factory for site survey, technical and commercial clarification to improve business performance and relationships with business partners or customers.
- Any other request and support as and when required you to action.
**Requirements**:
- Engineering graduate from Marine and Offshore, Navy academic or shipbuilding or industry mechanical and electrical engineering course.
- Prior consideration for those with 5 to 10 years of working experience with similar experiences in the marine and offshore environment and related equipment or experience working in the shipyards or ship design institution or ship owner on board ship as a marine engineer.
- Good working attitude, able to work independently with minimum supervision with a good self-drive attitude toward fulfilling the assigned tasks and set goals.
- Good communication skills and willingness to interact with different levels of seniority of people.
- Willing to travel with short notice to visit and support customers and business partners within the assigned business area.
