Telenor Procurement Company (TPC), established in 2017 and headquartered in Singapore, operates as a subsidiary of the Telenor Group. We deliver Global Category Management as a service to the Telenor Business Units, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end Sourcing process and performance of global spend categories. Functioning as one Global Procurement team across all Telenor markets, we enable Telenor’s strategic ambitions by becoming a centre of expertise in the pursuit of efficient operations. TPC seeks qualified procurement professionals that are comfortable working in a global setup in the fast-paced Telecom field.

**Main tasks**
As the Lead Negotiator, you are primarily responsible for developing and executing a strategic close plan that brings collaboration and discipline into the contract and negotiation making process. You will have a pivotal role in managing and implementing sourcing strategy and contracting for high value categories as well as execution of processes in large and complex projects.

**Profile**:

- Lead complex negotiation process with Telecom suppliers and closing of decisions
- Work closely with our different Category Management teams to advise and strategize on sourcing processes and opportunities within the categories
- Assess vendor relationships, contractual terms, pricing and scope issues to maintain competitiveness and profitability during the bidding process.
- Effectively interact with pursuit teams to advise, prepare and lead them for vendor interactions and negotiations
- Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to enable successful activation and implementation of negotiations strategy and plans and continued adherence to processes and governance defined
- Directly participate and take a lead role in vendor negotiations and collaborate in other vendor negotiations to execute planned activities
- Develop creative solutions and persuasive arguments to help overcome barriers and obstacles and ensure internal alignments (i.e., differences of opinions on the best strategy to employ) with mínimal supervision
- Cascade best practice, process consistency and synergies for negotiations aligned with the OpCo’s business strategy
- Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to enable successful activation and implementation of negotiations strategy and plans and continued adherence to processes
- Activation and implementation of global negotiations strategy in the OpCos and o rchestrate and coordinate engagement with key global vendors
- Exercise considerable independent judgment when analyzing information and evaluating results to recommend the best strategy and solution to defined governance committees

**To enjoy this role and succeed in it you would need to be/ have**:

- In-depth legal or negotiations background as well as direct, hands-on negotiation experience
- Knowledge of impacting laws, legal codes, precedents, government regulations that could impact business decisions and contract terms and conditions
- Strong teaming and negotiating skills, persuading others to agree to pricing, terms and frameworks beneficial to the firm
- In-depth experience and understanding of the marketplace and trends within the industry (e.g., cost drivers, levers, competitive situations)
- Strong commercial skills and understanding of leading negotiations practices with proven experience
- Strong ability to communicate and interact effectively across organizational and cultural boundaries, internal and external as well as communicating complex strategy and analysis topics with senior stakeholders
- Strategic thinking, see the big picture and make sure activities are aligned with business needs
- Strong desire to challenge status quo, proactively recommend alternative solutions and willing to implement new concepts & frameworks
- High level of integrity and ethics
- Active listening, emotional intelligence, expectation management, patience, persuasion

**Educational & Competence Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree with relevant business discipline in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Analytics or Business. MBA will be preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of previous negotiation experience in addition to at least 5 years in a senior procurement / contract management / vendor / negotiations / supply chain
