**Division**

Our Containers Department coordinate deals between container ship owners and liner companies that enable globalised trade. We allow our clients the widest possible access to the industry's most detailed data and we track market fundamentals, feeding this strategic intelligence into their businesses.

**Role Summary**

The main purpose of an Operations Executive is to support the efforts of the shipbrokers. Your role requires operational and administrative services, working closely with the Charterers/Owners and Brokers to ensure timely facilitation of information, paying close attention to shipping operational details in order to manage effective collaboration among all parties involved.

**What you will be doing**
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the shipping process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of vessels
- Handle client/operators’ communications, addressing enquiries, resolving issues and providing exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with internal team to ensure smooth operations and streamline processes
- Learning and understanding shipping documents, BIMCO terms/clauses, hire statements & statement of facts
- Understanding of typical Container charter parties, contracts, demurrage/claims calculations
- Maintain detailed records and prepare reports on shipping activities when assigned by clients/brokers.
- Consult our Brokers in anticipation of possible operational mattersOther ad-hoc operations duties as and when assigned

**What we are looking for**

**Key Attributes**
- Possesses at least a Degree from a reputable university
- Previous experience working at a shipping company would be advantageous
- An excellent command of English and Japanese
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with operators
- Detail-oriented and organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Hands-on with a positive attitude
- Strong team player & able to work independently
- Flexible in the workplace, and willing to work outside regular office hours, if required
- Confident and friendly personalityStrong desire to build and develop one’s career in Shipping Operations
