**POSITION PURPOSE**:
With the context of this role description, “service” represents the responsibility for the technical strategy and architectural design, provisioning, interoperability, operational management, lifecycle management and remediation program for the technologies within the scope of the domain.

The position responsible for the overall operations of the domain Digital Platforms in APAC (infrastructure and services in SG, HK and JP, AU) and oversight of the rest of APAC locations.

The following domains are in the remit of this role:

- The domain **Infrastructure as a Service**:

- Virtualization Technology: VMware, Citrix, VDI; Enterprise Storage, Enterprise Backup; UNIX and Windows

Systems
- The domain **Platform as a Service**:

- Database: Oracle, Sybase and MS-SQL
- The domain **Container as a Service**:

- Middleware: Application Servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat), MQ, Tibco EAI, Secure File Transfer and

MICROSERVICES ( Docker, API, Kafka )
- The domain **Risks and Improvement**

Its mission is to assist the operational teams in their production activities, to comply with security and resilience requirements, monitor operational stability, & help drive continuous improvements across key performance indicators.

- Contribution to achievement of Tower Strategic Objectives
- Adherence to budget allocated by Domain Head
- Meeting defined regional domain objectives as detailed in yearly performance review process

APAC Job Description Template

Classification : Internal
- Responsible for successful operational delivery of domain services within “home region”
- Ensure that domain services function performs to contractually agreed service levels regionally
- Continuous Improvement meets benchmark level for domain services

**Key Responsibilities**

Operation Management
- Accountable for developing Digital Platforms services to a level of maturity that enables the regional services to be moved offshore (Only applicable if validated from an operational risk and business perspective)
- Accountable for the regional service for Digital Platforms, including domain specific supporting tools
- Accountable for the quality of Digital Platforms services for the region (KPI measurements of quality to be defined)
- Responsible for validating changes to the operational processes supporting the delivery of services
- Responsible for implementation and daily production of Domain Infrastructure
- Responsible for the execution of operational processes / tools supporting Digital Platforms services in the region and agreed within the Global Domain
- Responsible for operational activities/processes within the region
- Responsible for the Digital Platforms teams in the region.
- Required to support core governance activities as defined and agreed with the GDH
- Required to achieve goals and objectives as approved with the GDH as per the periodic objectives and appraisal process
- Reports directly to the Global Domain Head and Regional CTO
- Escalation point for issues raised from GDH, Regional
